A column titled “Martha Beck’s Five (New) Best Pieces of Advice” in O Magazine inspired me to dig in and find my calling. That calling is Life Design.
Following where life has led has given me a wealth of experience – all of which is being put to great use now.
The search for my north star has given me a wealth of experience that I am glad to be able to put to great use now. My BS degree is in Mental Health Management from MN State University. My professional experiences range from arts administration, and television production, to remodeling, design and construction. I’ve been a film commissioner, publisher, director of a small regional theatre, co-owner of a small construction company, and a dancer with a regional dance company!
My career has been fun and varied – and it’s all been a great preparation for life coaching. I know this is my calling. It’s true – when it’s right, you “JUST KNOW IT!”
On the set of JINGLE ALL THE WAY - 1/2 of the “Kelly & Randy Show” at the MN Film Board from 1987-97 - I learned what you can do when you have an amazing team AND love the “product” you have to sell - the film/video crew and the State of MN. We had a blast and brought a more than a few films to MN
One of my favorite quotes is from Richard Bach –
“Every person, all the events of your life are there becaues you have drawn them there. What you choose to do with them is up to you.”
Family is more than the group of people you’re born into, and it extends beyond the boundaries of marriages. My FAMILY is made up of so many people – and mine is no different. But the one’s that are especially essential to me are my extremely cool “rock and roll chick” niece Naomi and my amazing (step) kids, Chelsea & Chase. These amazing young people continue to amaze me and challenge my thinking every day! Thanks guys!
I think about all of the people I’ve drawn into my life so far, and I get so excited about what is yet to come!!
